Hazel Marsden
and Lena Bambrick are fully qualified, British Association
Counselling & Psychotherapy Accredited counsellors/psychotherapists.
Hazels training
was in an Integrative model of therapy, which draws from a
cross section of theoretical approaches, including Person
Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic and
Systemic. Hazel is also Relate trained and has six years specialised
experience working with adult survivors of sexual abuse.
Lena
works as a cognitive therapist mainly with clinical Disorders
e.g. depression, anxiety disorders including Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder, Panic and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. She is
also a trained practitioner in E.M.D.R. (a modern therapeutic
procedure used to help reduce the impact of trauma).
We
offer a confidential service that works within the BACP Ethical
framework of good practice and have a combined experience
of fifteen years counselling in a variety of therapeutic settings.
We work with couples, adolescents, and individuals with a
wide range of issues in a safe and supportive therapeutic
setting.
We provide both short
term and long term counselling for;
- Trauma, Abuse, i.e. emotional, sexual
and physical (childhood & recent)
- Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder, PTSD, Panic and Stress
- Anger, Low self Esteem, relationship
problems, separation & divorce
- Life transitions, work problems, grief,
bereavement and addictions
Zest for life Clinical
Supervision
Hazel and Lena are qualified supervisors and provide
individual and group supervision to trainee counsellors on
counselling diploma courses at Belfast Cognitive Therapy Centre,
Ulster University, and Queens University. We also supervise
practicing counsellors working in private practice and within
organisations. A recent addition to our services is providing
supervision to counsellors practising overseas using Skype.
